Candle Care - Part1
Hi everyone!
Today I’m here to talk about candle care. And no, it’s not like a spa for candles even though that sounds a bit funny! I’m talking about the things you can do to ensure that your candle lasts as long as it’s supposed to and performs without any problems! This is going to be a longer series where I share some tips on how to take care of our candles!
This first topic is one of the most important ones as it relates to the first time, you’re lighting your candle! You see, the wax has a memory, and it remembers how long it was working the first time it’s lit up. So, it’s very important that when you light it you ensure you have the time needed for the wax to reach the corners of the container. If you don’t do this and only let it reach a certain amount, the wax will remember and won’t reach the corners net time you lit it, creating a tunnel of wax (see image). This isn’t ideal because if this happens you won’t be able to use your candle to its maximum capacity.
On another newsletter I’ll give you some tips on how to solve the tunnelling problem!
In the meantime, have a great week and don’t forget to take care of your candles from Glimpse of Tales!
See you next week! Take care✨.
